Hello,
I have installed Panthera Free on my computer. It is a 64-bit system with Win 7 home. At the end of the installation, there is a message saying Panthera free has been successfully installed, but I can´t run the program.
I tried in a 32-bit system with Win7 home and I had the same problem.
Finally, I tried to install in another computer (64-bit Win 10 pro) and it runs successfully.
I would like to know if there is any relation with this, or if anyone knows about additional requirements of the system to run Panthera Free.
Many thanks in advance.
Jordi

Hello,
I've got a 32-bit windows 7 and it tells me that the program is not compatible with the windows. I need some help on this, because I don't know what to do, because the software is the same. I see where you can choose between 32 and 64-bit.
Thank you very much!

Hi Jordi, Did you get a 'Panthera Free' icon on your desktop? Do you get any errors when trying to run the 'Panthera Free' icon? At what point does it stop working? Perhaps Windows 7 Pro would work; we haven't tested it on Windows 7 Home. Whether the Windows OS itself is 32- or 64 bits shouldn't make a difference. Ruud

I get the Panthera icon and I can access to the Session Manager Lite interface. However, when I click “Start Panthera Free” it doesn´t run. I tried using both, the NVidia graphics and the GLSL. I also tried with the Formula Student and the Cruden Generic Sedan, with and without the external physics model. Many thanks, Jordi

Hi Jordi,
Can you please try the following things on a pc where pantherafree is not working:
- Close everything - Remove the file QLOG.txt from the folder PantheraFree\Panthera - Start Session Manager Lite with the desktop icon - click "Start Panthera Free" with GLSL, mouse and Cruden Generic Sedan selected - There should now be a new file QLOG.txt in the folder PantheraFree\Panthera - Post the contents here on the forum

Good to hear that you've managed to fix the issue! QLOG.txt is helpful in a lot cases when Panthera Free is not functioning properly.
Maybe you could post which configuration setting you've changed, for future reference for people with the same problem.

Dear all Does somebody tested another software different to Mathlab? "Octave" for example that is free and is a clon of Mathlab.
For old players of Racer the necesity of Mathlab is strange.
Thank you

hi Eschefo, We currently do not support other software. However, Mathlab is not a necessity nor a hard requirement to be running Panthera Free. You can still build and drive cars the way you were/are used to. The Mathlab approach is for engineering students and professionals to have access to a professional grade modelling solution, not available in anything other than this software package, for free. I hope this answer makes things a bit more clear for you
