Hi all,
I am currently building a Porsche 919 for my final year University dissertaion, but I have run into trouble with getting the model imported into modeler. The model itself is a KN5 conversion from AC, I used the .obj generated in the conversion and split the meshes into various containers reflecting the components Panthera requires. I have had to use ProOptimizer in 3ds max to reduce the vertex count on the body to 70% of the original, but the textures and normals appear to be assigned to the correct surfaces in 3ds max, and each poly appears to have a UV map. I am following the .ASE export settings in the Panthera Guide but when I import into modeler, I am presented with a plain grey model with faces that appear see-through when I rotate the model.
So far I have generated .dof files for the body and interior and a car.shd for the exterior, but when I use this shader, the only visible component within Panthera is an incomplete model of the interior (Carbon monocoque/survival cell is not visible, despite being included in the .ASE export).
I am importing into modeller without animation, and I have not yet added textures to my car folder, but I doubt this is the source of my issues. I would attach a zip folder with my current working .max file, but it's too big, so I'll link to dropbox instead: www.dropbox.com/s/05476ehd6zvcxxm/919%20Max%20%26%20Textures.zip?dl=0
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, I've been trying to get this working for nearly 3 weeks now and I'm all out of ideas.
Many Thanks in advance,
Dean
